First entry of my Blog - About Me

The first entry of the blog on my newly updated website. I’d like to say Hi and introduce myself to You - The mysterious reader who happen to stumble upon my website and clicked on the small orange link that said “blog”. Thank you! I sincerely appreciate it!

I am an architectural photographer. I live in the beautiful neighborhood Soho and I am obsessed with architecture and New York.

I am an independent mother to two amazing kids. Alex completed her service in the Israeli Army and currently is a freshman at Stern Business School. Daniel is a senior in Academy for Software Engineering High School and soon will be in college (which makes me feel very mixed feelings). They are pretty awesome and they teach me life, English, how not to be embarrassing (wait until they read his entry and roll their eyes), how to take a step back and let them make their own decisions when I really really need to teach them a lesson, how not to be a “Russian mother” and so much more. So kids if you read this - I love you and please NO COMMENTS.

I was born in Uzbekistan while it was part of the Soviet Union so my Russian is pretty fluent and my Uzbek is not existing. Which was typical. And kind of sad.
Moved to Israel with my parents thanks to Mr. Gorbachev when I was 17y old. Learned Hebrew, Israeli mentality, all about knaffe, jachnun and humus, graduated Architecture at Technion, and relocated to US as a software engineer. I first arrived to North Carolina where I discovered that America is not New York skyscrapers as I envisioned it. Eventually moved to Atlanta, Seattle, LA and finally settled in New York AKA My Fantasy USA.

Few years ago I took a break of Brooklyn and moved back to Israel where I started my career as an architectural photographer. Long story short - I’m back to New York and have a privilege of capturing the most amazing architecture in my home town and around the world.
I also freelance for Architectural Publications and my press credentials allow for exciting opportunities to attend architectural events around the world and meet fascinating people. I will be covering some of my travels here on my blog and Instagram stories. Stay tuned.
So that is a tip of the iceberg of my life story. I will be adding some interesting details on the blog sometimes.

Leave a note if you like to ask me anything.
